What is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy?<\/h2>

Cognitive behavioural therapy is a practice that focuses on changing the automatic negative thoughts that create, contribute to, and even worsen our emotional difficulties.<\/p>

It is a form of psychological treatment (administered by a CBT therapist) that has been demonstrated to be effective for a range of problems including but not limited to anxiety, depression, alcohol or drug use problems, as well as eating disorders.<\/p>

With CBT you\u2019ll not only be able to identify, challenge, and replace negative thoughts, beliefs, and attitudes, but you will also be fully equipped with problem-solving skills that will help you manage difficult situations as they come, and live a healthier and happy life.<\/p>

How does Cognitive Behavioural Therapy work?<\/h2>

Unlike some forms of therapy, which look to the past to analyse current feelings or state of mind, cognitive behavioural therapy focuses on the present to identify a constructive strategy for tackling the overwhelming issue gradually.<\/p>

CBT works by identifying and correcting negative perceptions or unproductive thinking in order to enhance the way of thinking and overall general behaviour.<\/p>
