Welcome to The Bridge, a support group specifically designed for individuals who experience both substance use disorder (SUD) and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

Psychological research says having addiction and trauma symptoms at one time is one of the most challenging mental health conditions. Clients tell us they understand their self-destructive behaviours are intricately linked; but they don’t know how to use that knowledge to create the positive changes they want and work so hard for in their lives.

Participants in this group will be introduced to recent research on the brain and nervous system. These lessons will explain clearly what is happening in the addictive cycle and how trauma and addiction operate together to defeat transformation.

Members will then learn about using safety to circumvent the addiction-trauma cycle. These skills come from an evidence-based treatment approach that has been developed over two decades and has demonstrated the highest rate for success.
