Meet Phil
Sometimes the distance between you and the people you love didn’t happen all at once. It built up one conversation, one misunderstanding, or one difficult season at a time.
You may feel like you’re having the same argument over and over, struggling to communicate, or carrying emotions that are difficult to put into words. Perhaps you’re feeling anxious and unsure how to move forward. Whatever has brought you here, therapy can help you understand yourself better and strengthen the relationships that matter.
I work with adolescents, adults, and couples who want to feel more connected, to themselves, to their partners, and to the people who matter most. Whether relationship challenges, anxiety, life transitions, family conflict, or emotional overwhelm brought you here, I offer a space where you can slow down, feel heard, and look at what’s happening beneath the surface.
My approach is calm and emotionally attuned. Lasting change begins when we feel safe enough to be honest with ourselves and with each other. Together we’ll look at the patterns shaping your relationships and your emotional life, and work on practical ways to communicate more openly and handle conflict with greater confidence.
My approach
My work is shaped around each client’s experiences and goals and may include: Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Attachment-Based Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness and Trauma-Informed Care.
Therapy should balance insight with practical change, helping you understand yourself better while giving you tools you can use in everyday life.
My background
The thread through my career has been helping people strengthen the relationships that matter most to them. Working with individuals, adolescents, or couples, my focus is on a therapeutic relationship built on trust, empathy, and real curiosity. People grow when they feel understood, and a single meaningful conversation can become a turning point.
A little about me
Music has always been an important part of my life. It expresses emotions that words sometimes cannot, and it reminds me that every person has their own rhythm and voice. Outside of therapy I spend time with family and friends, listening to music, and continuing to learn so I can provide thoughtful, effective care to the people I support.
That distance took a long time to build. Closing it takes more than one conversation, and we can start with the next one.
