Stephanie Cherian
Registered Psychotherapist, Qualifying
Stephanie is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from York University. Stephanie understands that many clients feel overwhelmed and hesitant to open up in therapy at first, which is why she fosters a warm, judgment-free environment where individuals can share at their own pace. Through a gradual and compassionate approach, she helps clients feel comfortable and supported as they explore their concerns.
Stephanie’s goal is to build a strong therapeutic relationship over time, working collaboratively with clients to achieve the goals they set together. Her experience includes working with individuals facing anxiety, depression, stress management, grief, people-pleasing tendencies, and negative self-talk. She utilizes evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT) to support clients in making meaningful changes.
Stephanie is dedicated to helping individuals, aged 18 and older, navigate their challenges, feel empowered, and experience personal growth as they work toward their mental health and well-being.
