Heal together, right here in Barrie or online
There is something steadying about sitting with people who simply get it. In group therapy you discover you are not the only one, and that shared understanding can ease the sense of being the only one carrying it. The power of community offers perspectives that one-on-one work alone may not, and it gives you a place to practise new ways of relating in real time.
At InnerSight, our group sessions are facilitated by Registered Psychotherapists who create a safe, collaborative space. Whether you are seeking support for personal growth, interpersonal challenges, or emotional healing, the goal is the same: to help you build connection, strengthen communication, and grow resilience by learning from and with others.
A safe, confidential space to talk openly, support and understanding from others who get it, and gentle guidance from a skilled therapist as you navigate challenges together.

Specialized groups, client-centred care
InnerSight Psychotherapy offers specialized group therapy with a focus on evidence-based, client-centred care. Our compassionate therapists facilitate dynamic sessions designed to meet diverse needs and so that growth comes from shared experience.
Each group is small, structured, and led by a therapist, so the room stays supportive and focused. Our therapists bring specialized training in approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy, and they are empathetic guides invested in helping you reach steadier ground, clearer communication and closer relationships.
At the heart of InnerSight is a dedicated, highly skilled team committed to helping people make real change. Each therapist is a Registered Psychotherapist regulated by the CRPO, and they are not just clinicians but empathetic listeners and guides.
Your questions about group therapy, answered
What is group therapy and how does it work?
Group therapy brings together a small number of people working through similar challenges, guided by a Registered Psychotherapist. You share at your own pace, learn from others who understand, and practise new skills in a safe, confidential space. The shared experience often helps people feel less alone and see their situation in a new light.
Do I need a referral to join a group at InnerSight?
No referral is needed. You can book a free 20-minute consultation online at psychotherapyclinic.janeapp.com or call (905) 553-9507. We will talk through which group fits, or whether individual sessions might suit you better first.
Is what I share in group confidential?
Yes. Our facilitators are Registered Psychotherapists regulated by the CRPO, and confidentiality is a foundation of every group. Members agree to keep what is shared private, and your therapist explains the standard limits clearly before you begin.
Should I choose group therapy or individual therapy?
Both can help, and many people combine them. Individual therapy offers private, focused attention, while a group adds connection, perspective and the strength of shared experience. We help you choose what fits in your free consultation, and you can change course anytime.
Where are your groups offered?
Our groups run at our Barrie office at 111 Bradford St, Unit 207, and online across Ontario, so you can join in person or by secure video. InnerSight also has offices in Woodbridge and Vaughan. Because each group runs as a cohort, we confirm the current schedule with you during your free 20-minute consultation.
