Therapy that meets you where you are.
Secure video sessions with the same Registered Psychotherapists you would see in our offices. From your couch, your parked car, or a quiet room at work, anywhere in Ontario. Evenings and weekends included.
No referral needed. Most private insurance plans cover a portion.

The same therapy, without the drive.
Online therapy is a regular psychotherapy session held over secure video instead of across a room. Same therapist, same approaches, same 55 minutes. It removes the commute, the waiting room and the childcare puzzle, which for many people is the difference between starting therapy and putting it off another year.
Where online shines
Busy schedules and evening sessions after the kids are down. Living outside the GTA, from Barrie to Ottawa to Thunder Bay. Mobility or health limits that make travel hard. Social anxiety that makes an office visit feel like a hurdle. Continuing with your therapist when you move, travel or change jobs.
Where in-person may fit better
Some people simply settle more deeply in a room with their therapist. Younger children often do better with in-person play therapy. And for some higher-acuity situations, your therapist may recommend in-person care or additional supports. We offer both, so you never have to choose blind, and you can switch anytime.
How a session works
Before your appointment you receive a secure link by email. At session time you click it from any device with a camera. There is nothing to install and nothing to configure. Your therapist joins you in an encrypted video room on Jane, a platform built for Canadian healthcare providers. Sessions are never recorded.
Private on your side too
Headphones, a closed door, or even a parked car make your side of the conversation private. Your therapist will help you find a setup that works, and if privacy at home is part of what brings you to therapy, tell us, and we will plan around it together.
What the research says
Multiple meta-analyses have found that psychotherapy delivered by videoconference produces outcomes comparable to in-person treatment for common concerns such as anxiety and depression, including a 2021 review by Batastini and colleagues in Clinical Psychology Review and a 2021 meta-analysis by Fernandez and colleagues in Clinical Psychology & Psychotherapy.
Three steps, all from home.

Meet your therapist online
Your first full session runs 55 to 90 minutes depending on the type of therapy. You click a link, your therapist does the rest. You do not have to arrive with answers.
Continue at your pace
Weekly, every other week, or whatever rhythm fits. Mix online and in-office sessions freely. If the fit is not right, we help you switch, no friction and no shame.
Therapists who practise online every day.
Every InnerSight therapist offers online sessions. These three practise exclusively online, so video is not their backup plan, it is their craft.
