Meet Ayana
Maybe you are overwhelmed by anxiety, perfectionism, people-pleasing or self-doubt. Maybe you are overthinking everything, or feeling drained, or asking why the same patterns keep repeating. Whatever has brought you here, therapy is a chance to slow down, get back in contact with yourself, and start moving again with more clarity and more confidence.
I work with adolescents, adults, couples and families who want to understand themselves better and make change that holds, in themselves and in their relationships. We will look at the experiences, beliefs and emotional patterns that have shaped you, and build practical tools that help you meet what is hard with more resilience, more self-compassion and more confidence.
My approach is warm and collaborative. I think real change starts once you feel properly seen and heard. I draw on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and mind-body practices, and what we use depends on what you bring.
My approach
As a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), I provide therapy under the clinical supervision of experienced Registered Psychotherapists and Clinical Supervisors at InnerSight Psychotherapy, so the care you receive is evidence-informed and backed by ongoing mentorship and clinical guidance.
I draw on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Solution-Focused Therapy and Somatic (Mind-Body) Practices.
My background
Before psychotherapy I spent years supporting children, youth, adults and seniors through education, mentorship and community programs. As an Ontario Certified Teacher and Education Program Supervisor, I worked with people from many different backgrounds on learning, on personal growth, and on the many transitions life brings.
Recruiting and supporting mentors, volunteering in hospitals and retirement communities, and working with families strengthened my belief that healing begins with connection, with compassion, and with feeling understood.
A little about me
“The greatest act of self-love is to no longer accept a life you are unhappy with.”
Brianna Wiest
Outside of therapy I enjoy discovering new places through local cafés, neighbourhood markets and community culture. I also love dancing, Pilates, painting, reading, fitness, fashion, interior design, and trying new restaurants. It keeps me grounded and curious, and reminds me that a life needs purpose in it and some joy too.

Ready to begin?
You do not need to have everything figured out before you begin therapy. Sometimes the important part is just letting yourself start, and once you do, we can put your own expectations back where you can see them.
