Get to know me

Meet Keera

You may be feeling overwhelmed or stuck, and unsure where to start.

Most people arrive having already tried the obvious things. What they want is somewhere they feel heard, and work that takes in who they are alongside what brought them in.

I have over eight years of experience in behavioural therapy, and a close working knowledge of the challenges adults and children run into. My professional background includes work as a Behavioural Therapist implementing intensive interventions using Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA), and as a Family Resource Worker at Macaulay Child Development Centre, supporting families through practical strategies and personalized care plans. Everything we do is built around who you actually are, so you can get clearer about what is going on, build resilience, and take back some control of it.

In sessions I draw on evidence-based methods including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Person-Centred Therapy (PCT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), with techniques from Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and group therapy woven in as needed. Whatever we are working on, my aim is that you feel supported and heard in the room.

I work with individuals, couples and families on issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma and time management. My specialties include behavioural issues and parenting challenges.

My approach

I draw on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Person-Centred Therapy (PCT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) and Group Therapy.

A little about me

I hold a Master’s in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Tyndale University, and I started out in Early Childhood Education at Seneca College. That mix of clinical training and years of hands-on behavioural work, with child development sitting underneath it, shapes how I approach a session.

I am a member in good standing with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO).

Behaviour usually makes sense once you understand what is driving it. Eight years of this work have left me confident that it can shift.
