This is the inner side of work and growth
Career and personal growth counselling is not resume help, recruiting or job placement. It is therapy for the part of work and life that a career coach cannot reach: the confidence, the direction, the boundaries and the sense of meaning underneath your goals. The version of you that shows up to the decision.
So much of feeling stuck is not really about the job at all. It is the fear of choosing wrong, the burnout you keep pushing through, the quiet voice that says you do not belong, or the loss of any clear sense of what you actually want. Those are not career problems. They are deeper questions of confidence and direction, and they respond well to the right support.
In sessions you get clear on what matters to you, work through what has been holding you back, and build the steadiness to move in a direction that fits, at work and in the rest of your life. No pressure, no judgment, just space to think it through with someone in your corner.
Career and personal growth counselling is evidence-based talk therapy that helps you find direction, work through burnout, quiet self-doubt and grow into the life and work you want. It is structured, judgment-free, and the clarity and skills are yours to keep.

What is really blocking you?
The thing in the way is rarely the thing we name first. Pick what sounds most like you, and see what often sits underneath it. This is a taste of the work you would do in sessions.
“I don’t know what I want.”
Often it is fear of choosing wrong.
When every option feels risky, the mind goes blank to protect you from a wrong move. The blankness is not the absence of wanting, it is fear sitting on top of it.
“We get clear on your values first, then the path. Direction comes from knowing what matters to you, not from forcing a perfect answer.”
In sessions you work through this around your own situation, until the next step feels clear. Talk it through with a therapist, free for 20 minutes.
When work and growth feel stuck
Whatever is weighing on you about your career or your path, it can shift. Here is some of what we work through.
What your first session actually looks like
A focused conversation about where you feel stuck and where you want to go. Your first appointment is a 70-minute initial assessment, and here is how it tends to flow, so you leave with a clearer next step.
Settling in
No judgment, no performance. Your therapist welcomes you, explains confidentiality, and makes clear there are no wrong answers here.
Mapping where you are stuck
Together you look at what is weighing on you, what you have already tried, and what tends to sit underneath the stuckness.
Finding the thread
You start to name what actually matters to you and where you want to head, so the picture gets clearer instead of more overwhelming.
Leaving with a next step
You agree on where to focus next and one concrete step to take before the following session.
Clarity for now, and the roots beneath it
Career and personal growth work is most effective when it tackles both the decision in front of you and what has been getting in the way. Your therapist tailors the approach to you. Sessions balance the practical, the decision in front of you, with the deeper patterns keeping you stuck, so you leave each one with clearer footing.
InnerSight was founded by Svetlana Antonyshyn, RP, on the belief that healing should treat the person, not a label. More about our approach.

No hidden fees and no pressure. Most private insurance plans cover a portion of psychotherapy fees.
Meet a therapist, ask anything, and see if it feels right. No credit card and no obligation.
Most private insurance plans cover a portion of services from a Registered Psychotherapist. We bill Sun Life, SSQ and Green Shield directly, and provide receipts for other claims.
A longer first session to understand your situation fully and set a clear direction together.
There is no OHIP coverage, but most private insurance covers part of the cost. Reduced-fee sessions are $125 for individual therapy and $175 for couples and family therapy, with select supervised therapists in training, guided by experienced clinical supervisors. Psychotherapy may also qualify for the medical expense tax credit in Canada. See our reduced-fee program or call us, we are happy to walk you through it.
Your questions, answered
Is this career coaching or therapy?
It is psychotherapy focused on the inner side of work and growth: confidence, direction, burnout and meaning, not resume or job-placement help. You work with a Registered Psychotherapist on what is happening underneath your career and personal goals.
Do I need a referral for career counselling in Vaughan?
No referral is needed. You can book a free 20-minute consultation online at psychotherapyclinic.janeapp.com or call (905) 553-9507. Most people have their first full session within a week.
Can you help with burnout?
Yes. We address the stress, boundaries and patterns behind burnout so the change actually sticks, rather than just pushing you to power through. The aim is a pace and a workload you can sustain.
I do not know what I want to do. Can therapy help?
Yes. We start with your values and strengths and build direction from there, instead of forcing a quick answer. Clarity usually comes from understanding what matters to you, not from a personality quiz.
What about impostor feelings?
Impostor feelings are very common, especially in capable, driven people. We help separate the self-doubt from your actual capability, so the feeling stops running the show at work.
Is it available online across Ontario?
Yes. We offer secure video sessions anywhere in Ontario, plus in-person sessions in Vaughan, Woodbridge and Barrie. Evenings and weekends are available.
How much does it cost and is it covered?
The first 20-minute consultation is free, and individual sessions are $180 for 55 minutes. There is no OHIP coverage, but most private insurance plans cover a portion of services from a Registered Psychotherapist, and we bill Sun Life, SSQ and Green Shield directly. Reduced-fee sessions with select supervised therapists in training are $125 for individual therapy and $175 for couples and family therapy.
What happens in the first session?
A focused conversation about where you feel stuck and what you actually want, ending with a clear next step. You set the direction, and your therapist helps you make sense of it.
How is this different from a career coach?
A career coach usually focuses on the external steps: resumes, interviews, and job search strategy. A Registered Psychotherapist works with the internal side, the fear, perfectionism, or self-doubt that often sits underneath a career problem, so the change you make actually lasts.
Is this a career problem, or burnout?
They often travel together. Burnout can make every career decision feel impossible, and a genuinely wrong-fit career can produce symptoms that look like burnout. We will help you work out which pieces are situational and which need rest and recovery first.
